We received some copies of this great book by banjo whiz, Bob Carlin. It is a survey of all the baseball parks across New York State. It is a fascinating compilation and should be on every baseball lovers bookshelf.
We took some of our grandchildren to the famous "Seabreeze Amusement Park" this past week. Our twin granddaughters, Olive and Scarlet had such a great time along with their big brother Rocco…and cousins Henry and Elliot.
Olive is all determination.
…and Scarlet is all about love and happiness.
I pleasantly declined joining in on the rides at the park! Just watching this one, made me a little queasy and my skin turned a little gray!

Good mornings folks,
I’ve never been a very flashy guy. Occasionally I wear a Hawaiian shirt, but for the most part I’m on the conservative side when it comes to dress and fashion. Gray has always been my favorite color. Now you might think that’s rather mundane, but the way I look at it gray is the combination of black and white, and in that way it represents both extremes. Gray is an "inclusive" color. There are no nuances in black and white…they are definitive, but gray allows for subtleties. Our brains are made up of gray matter so gray must have some kind of psychological importance. Gray is also the color of old people….their hair turns gray and their skin is little gray. Perhaps I’ve had an overdose of summer too much sunshine too much bright blue sky. Maybe I’m longing for the fall…..gray skies and clouds. That said, gray is certainly more contemplative…. I always have deeper thoughts when the sun is not shining and the gray is upon us… So to my friends who are graying and worrying about it and perhaps wanting to hide or touch it up, I say celebrate the gray… wear it as a badge. It is your honor. It is your pride. It is your history.

Watching the "gray" roll in….
Dan Palmer has evolved into a professor of old-time Banjo. Here is holding class in the back room at Bernunzio’s. We had so many new people for the old time event. It is really catching on.
They’re predicting some gray skies and cooler temperatures and maybe a little of the R word on Wednesday but our store will be closed and we will be there!
