April 7, 2025 - APRIL….Come She Will…

Sam Snyder has worked in various Music stores taught and is a vintage expert.

Ryan, your mail has been with us for half of his life….

Alex Patrick…super talented, multi instrumentalist…and he still finds time to do all our repairs and set ups.

Sammy Hirsh…"wired" for success!

The overseer!!!

This young family comes up every week for our jams driving over 100 miles. Each of the kids enjoy string band music and I see a family band in the brewing.

We are always available to help people assess the value of their collection, and, when it comes time to part ways, help them get the right price.

Stephen Bland was a friend and customer for many years. He was a vibrant part of the old-time music circuit here as a fiddle player and a banjo player and just a great supporter of Music. Sadly, he passed away in November. He is missed by so many across our musical community. This past Saturday, as per his will, this banjo was given to me. It brought me to tears…
APRIL….Come She Will…
April 7th, 2025
Greetings folks,
Today, Ryan and I are heading to Connecticut and Massachusetts to pick up several high grade guitars, banjos and mandolins from various collections. It’s what we do….we we tell people what they have and what it is worth. Then we buy or we consign the instruments based upon their current value. I was sitting down with Sam Snyder the other day and we were totaling up our experience in the guitar business. Between Ryan, Sam and I we have close to one hundred years of dealing with the music business. Throw in Alex Patrick in the repair shop and Sammy Hirsh on anything that plugs in and we have an unbeatable team. Alex Cote will return from time off for really good behavior (his second child entered the scene!) so the team will be complete. My job is just too pour as much as my information that I have accumulated into their brains so they can take over. It’s a process and I like what I do. I’m an advisor and a godfather. And of course, the entire thing would fall apart if it weren’t for Julie keeping order with everything from the accounting to the vacuuming! So, April, Come She Will. I will be back on Thursday because it is our 38th anniversary and I’m sure that we’ll find something special to do.
Also, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention all of the turmoil that’s going around in America these past few days. It may frighten some, but it may enlighten others… America has ALWAYS been a land of protest since 1775 at its "conception"….and very frankly, that is what made me love living here. The fact that people could protest, the fact that people had invested enough into the thinking about their country and how it works… that they are willing to stand outside on a cold day to express their opinion.
That’s what America is about.
With peace,
John Bernunzio

I’m afraid to say my protesting days are over. I carried the banners. I raised the fist. I fought the fight. I even inhaled a little tear gas in my day. It’s good to see the younger people making sure that their voices are heard. Julie and her brothers and their wives and friends are pictured above….in close range of an old neighborhood watering hole!
