REMINISCING AND A NEW ADDITION

March 10th, 2025

Greetings,

As we slide into the 20th year of having the store on East Avenue I have a few reminiscences. I spent a wonderful Saturday there with folks who came in from all corners of the northeast…. people who wanted to play instruments…. who wanted to try things out or participate in the great Saturday afternoon jams. Some folks had heard about the legendary place that is Bernunzio Uptown Music. They travelled from Pennsylvania, they travelled from the Catskills, they traveled from Massachusetts and Ohio… all bent on seeing some of the finest vintage instruments for sale in the country… and in the most comfortable showroom in the business. This brought me to think back on some of the great events that we have had at the store. I looked back through my collection of pictures from over the years to help me recall some of the events and put some of these pictures in John’s Corner this week. Perhaps people would like to comment or attempt to name some of the people pictured here…some are famous, some are local, some are upcoming stars and some are no longer with us.

Speaking of upcoming stars, we finally have the BIG announcement. On March 8th at approximately 10:45 PM, Miss Talia Rose Bernunzio-Barocio made her debut after a prolonged and laborious entry "dance". She is our eighth grandchild and the daughter of Rose and José. Needless to say, we are beside ourselves. She is perfect.

With peace,

John Bernunzio
