An unusual likely custom-ordered example of one of our favorite instruments, the Vega Cylinder back mandolin, in as/is condition, ready for your tender loving care. This iteration features a larger ten string peghead, with corresponding nut and neck; spec mandolin body, with larger neck. The two-point body is fully bound, mahogany construction of cylindrical back and sides, straight-grained and yellowed spruce top w/ inlaid pickguard, and marquetry rosette; long cracks present on the top and sides with finish wear; label torn inside. One piece mahogany neck w/ 14" scale extended ebony fingerboard, 1-7/16" wide nut; missing all hardware; nut slotted with 3x courses for treble, 2x for basses.
