A fantastic late 19th century Continental factory violin for folk or traditional music, that was restored at some point in its life. Featuring a two piece flamed maple back with wide grained spruce top, lots of play wear, finish dings, checking present, with a long repaired top crack between the lower F hole and G string and around same f hole cutout; past finish work present. The maple neck has a thick ebony fingerboard, with robustly carved scroll.
