Takamine has been a leading Japanese guitar manufacturer for close to half a century with a successful story in Acoustic guitars. Having started by building high quality copies of Martins - Takamine would go on to implement classic guitar design with some more modern appointments, which would make them very popular amongst players. The EAN40C is a model now discontinued from the Japanese company, that features very high quality construction and sonic quality, at a player price-point. Featuring a Solid Cedar top, and Solid Mahogany back - well trained ears will appreciate the richness of tone this guitar has. Thoughtful laminate side construction does not diminish this. instruments value, but likely adds to the structural integrity. Simple 4 ply binding, and a tort style guard look instantly classic even with the cutaway for upper register access. These guitars feature Takamines highly regarded electronics (CT-4BII Pickup/Preamp/Tuner) - performers will appreciate the 3 Band EQ and onboard tuner. While this guitar comes to us used, it has likely rarely been played. A nice straight neck with virtually no fret wear, and factory spec 6/64" action at the twelfth fret makes this guitar play great. 1 21/32" nut width is comfortable for both fingerpickers or strummers. This guitar comes with its original hardshell case.
