A modern guitar through and through, its thoughtfulness has left no stone unturned - this example clearly nodding to yesteryear with its Black Guard aesthetic and Christian neck pickup - truly a modern Jazz guitar!
Light weight, this ash body guitar has the iconic blonde finish - single cut for easy upper register access, and fitted with Strandbergs own EGS REV bridge. Tuning is quite quick and easy - and coupled with the multi scale of this instrument intonation is easy. Suhr T Bridge pickup has nice cut and bite, even response with flat pole pieces. The previous owner replaced the neck pickup with a Roswell Christian pickup in the neck couples well with it (the original in the case). Simple Volume and tone controls, the tone acting with a push pull pot giving the player access to series and parallel middle position sounds.
The Multi scale, fanned fret neck ranges from standard 25.5" at the 6th string to 25" on the 1st - while being a little disorienting at first, registers well for most players. Jescar stainless steel frets, this maple neck plays easily and shows no wear as intended. Whats maybe most interesting about this guitar, as if it couldn't get any more specific, is the Endur neck profile - offering a flattened point that is more centered towards the bass side at the open position, smoothing out, and shifting towards the trebles in the upper registers - all without "heft" in the shoulder of the profile. The contoured heel at the body makes everything quite comfortable. Easy low action, the bolt on neck is dead straight the action measuring a low 3-4/64" in height at the twelfth fret.
Only mildly used, this comes to us in excellent condition, with the only apparent wear towards hidden near the output jack and back plate.
