A rare bird from the Fujigen factory, the Seiwa brand punched a little harder than your average Ibanez. With looks that resemble the Ibanez counter part in many ways, this well made machine has the vibe of a Strat with some more attitude and a nice neck. Equipped with three medium output single coils, the previous owner appears to have installed a fat switch - which adds the neck pickup back into the chain regardless of what pickup you're on. Otherwise this guitar is in great shape, and even includes the original branded hardshell case!
The neck is slim and speedy, something to expect from an early 80's guitar out of the same factory that was producing some of the shreddliest guitars on earth. It has a 25.5 scale length, it is very comfortable for any Strat player, and currently strung up with 9-42 gauge strings, it plays with a nice straight neck, even low action that measures 5/64" at the twelfth fret.
A cool instrument that won't break the bank, has some interesting history, and sure to fit the bill for anyone looking for a Strat-ternative.
