Constructed by the legendary Stuart Mossman & Co. in Winfield, Kansas, who built a small number of handmade instruments starting in the 1970s, part of a new generation of luthiers and makers that got their start as the build-quality of big names like Martin & Gibson dwindled. Incredible sound and exceptional playability. The fully bound body is made from Indian rosewood with attractive grain, with an aged/checked Spruce top that is trimmed with marquetry. Innovative bolt-on neck construction that combines elements of a traditional Spanish foot heel/block; repaired top crack and side crack. The 25.4" scale mahogany neck has an ebony fingerboard (repaired crack down center at higher frets), with newer frets; neck was likely reset and finish touchup present at heel. Included in sale is well-loved and well-stickered hard case.
