LSL Guitars have done a fantastic job at offering Custom Shop level quality at a fair price. With high attention to detail, their unique guitars can offer players new, exciting tone and playability all the while sporting flair of yesteryear.
"La Perronita" is a Tele style guitar in the "Cabronita" style - featuring a pair of TV Jones Filtertron pickups. The output is balanced while retaining the Tele twang, but with a bit thicker of a bottom end. Gretsch meets Fender, it has an iconic trans orange finish - nicely relic'd looking quite a bit like a companion piece to a nice Gretsch Country Gentleman. The T style guitar has checking present along with some accurate wear along its edge. A simple electronics setup, it has a single pickup selector switch and volume knob - with a control cavity on its back side. A three ply tortoise guard compliments it well. The half ashtray is a player favorite - and yields some serious volume off the guitar without even being plugged in. Brass saddles like a vintage Fender, it is setup and plays great.
Maple neck with a maple cap fingerboard with standard dot inlay. The finish on its profile has been taken down feeling nice and speedy, the profile a slightly chunkier C measuring .85" in depth at the first fret and tapering up to about .95" at the twelfth. A standard 25.5" scale length and 1 21/32" nut width - the neck is nice and straight the narrow vintage style frets showing virtually no wear. The action is low measuring a low 4/64" in height at the twelfth fret. Kluson style reproduction vintage tuners function just as they should.
A great addition for any player looking for a more unique Tele-esque instrument!
