Quite the build! Using the original Gibson templates, Heritage produced a short run of these H-150's which many have called the "True Template" model. Some rumored that in 1988, Gibson had simply had these left over bodies which Heritage would ultimately use. It has been said that in 1990 Gibson was to sue Heritage over the design of these bodies - resulting in the later H150 models to have a slightly different horn in their cutaway. What we do know for certain, is this killer guitar comes to us in great condition.

The true template Gibson body is quite the looker. Mostly a plain top, it does have some nice wide three dimensional flame in the maple cap. Complete with its mahogany back - this is a real deal Les Paul. This one has a pretty uncommon cherry finish is in great shape. Some very light nicks, buckle rash, and checking - but ultimately its cosmetic condition is very clean. Replaced Seymour Duncan Alnico II humbuckers - with a push pull on the neck volume control for coil tapping the neck pickup. It retains its original Schaller bridge hardware.

The traditional 24.75" scale length sits comfortably, and the neck is in great shape overall with a clean, medium chunky profile. The fingerboard and the frets are clean with even wear, that is hardly notable. Trapezoid MOP inlay is clean and looks great. The neck is nice and straight, yielding low action. It has a nicely made new nut. Original Grover nickel tuners function just as they should.
This is a really nice piece for any player or even a Gibson collector. Comes with the original rectangular hardshell case with product catalog from '93.

Weighs 10.3lbs.
