"Country Gentleman" the nickname for the great Chet Atkins, which went on to become synonymous with the Gretsch brand. The "6122" model made famous by George Harrison, is one of the most iconic electric guitars of all time. We are excited to have a very recent, like new 6122 built with '62 specs dating to January 2018. A studio workhorse, these Country Gents have been used on countless recordings, and are some of the most versatile electric guitars on the market. This guitar comes to us in like new condition, with virtually no wear present, and all of its original paperwork. The classic walnut finish is met with the all matched Gold hardware, all of which in excellent shape. Playability-wise, this instrument plays just as it should with a straight neck and even low action. The neck is nice and straight with even low action, which measure a low 4/64" in height at the twelfth fret of the sixth and first strings. The frets are in next to new condition with no play wear in them or the ebony fingerboard. The C profile neck measures a comfortable .84" thick at the first position, and 1.0" thick at the twelfth. It is currently setup with 10 gauge round wounds, along with a convenient Vibramate (making restringing the Bigsby a breeze). It is outfitted with factory TV Jones gold pickups. All the electronics and mute switches work as expected. The belt buckle guard is in good shape, with nice gold piping. Gold Grover Imperial tuners function beautifully. Comes with the original hardshell case, strap and paperwork.
