A like new beginner mando from the mid 70s! Franciscan branded instruments were imported during the 70's, offering budget friendly beginner instruments. This A Style Mandolin is one such item, that comes to us in great condition from the previous owner. Laminate construction, it has a robust build quality, and comes to us free of cracks and scratches, the top still retaining its arch. Fully bound neck, the frets and fingerboard appear like new with hardly a mark to speak of. While not having an adjustable truss rod, the neck is very straight and functional in every register. The bridge thumb screws are bottomed out to yield a comfortable action which measures 5-3/64" in height at the twelfth fret. Includes chipboard case.
