The Super Reverb is a powerful well equipped combo amp suitable for virtually every style of music. This example dates to 1969 and features the classic AB763 circuit along with the "super" cool silverface styling. Nice and clean, but capable of a nice light tube overdrive when cranked, this amp covers all of the basses.

This Super Reverb comes to us in good condition, with some wear throughout as to be expected with an amp of this age. Some pitting is present on the kickback legs and hardware, but the faceplate and back plates are both fairly clean. The tube chart is sadly ripped, but is entirely present. Casters have also been installed, along with an additional hole added in the bottom of the cabinet for an unknown purpose.

Internally the amp has been modified back to blackface specs, and features a few modern upgrades the player will appreciate. The power cord has been replaced with a nice, long, and earthed 3 prong cable. The filter and cathode bypass caps have been replaced, making it have a very low noise floor, and totally stable for the next gig or studio session.

Throughout the circuit there are a few other replaced film caps and resistors. The tubeset is mostly replaced with JJ tubes but a few original RCA and Sylvania tubes are still present. The cabinet comes equipped with the original set of 4 Oxford 10J4-7 speakers, re-coned by Spiral reconing. They sound warm and robust in a way you only hear in old, played in speakers. The transformers were produced in late 1968 and mid 1969, approximating the amp’s manufacture to mid 1969.

This is an excellent player looking for a new home.
