The Stage Lead was part of the second series of Fender SS amps that first was introduced in 1981. It was manufactured from '83-'85, a timeline that coincides with the Rivera designs, but that is all that is where the similarities end. The production ceased in '85 with overstock sold through '87.

The Stage Lead is a 100 watt, solid state amplifier which features two channels. A single input jack and a toggle switch allows you to switch between the two. Channel one is loud, clean and punchy and makes it an excellent choice for rhythm playing. Channel two is the overdrive channel, and although it isn’t the best sounding in the world, it’s passable. Both channels have a 3 band EQ, with treble, middle, and bass controls. The reverb sounds excellent, crystal clear and deep and is available on both channels. It is delivered via a real spring reverb tank, mounted in the back of the cabinet in a waterproof bag.

On the rear panel there are jacks for a footswitch (not included), pre-amp output, and power amp input - which can be used as an effects loop.

A black vinyl cover is included in the sale.
