An exceptionally clean, very early short neck tenor, perfect for Irish playing; this is an original Fairbanks by Vega Style R tenor, featuring an 10-3/4" diameter rim with scalloped Whyte Laydie tonering; hardware original and extremely clean but the tailpiece is replaced. The maple neck features a short scale and 17 frets with engraved fingerboard inlays.; Original Champion tuners. Includes original hard case, although handle is broken and in the case pocket. Rare model with Gryphon in the peghead, though there is no engraving. Ripe for conversion to five string or play Celtic style.
