All original, very early short neck tenor, perfect for Irish playing... this is an original Fairbanks by Vega Style R tenor, featuring an 10-3/4" diameter rim with scalloped Whyte Laydie tonering; hardware original and clean including five string No Knot, notched tension hoop, hooks/nuts, and pie plate resonator; some tarnish and cracks in plating in some areas. The bound three piece maple neck features a 19-3/4 short scale and 17 frets, moderately worn original frets; Original Champion tuners, with 1-3/8" nut width. Includes original hard case, with some interior and exterior wear. Neck is straight and plays well...good to play as it sits or ripe for converting...
