The MDA 815 Octave Mandolin is one such instrument, boasting a nice loud and open tone, sounding like a nice vintage instrument, with all the playability of a new instrument. Constructed with solid Spruce top and highly flamed Maple back & sides, this projects a nice balanced tone.
Constructed with a 16" scale length, bound Ebony fingerboard, a bone nut with a 1 11/32" width.
