We love an early Eastman, and this AR805CE is certainly no exception. The Eastman AR805 is a flagship in the line, this CE example sporting the venetian cutaway and floating neck mounted pickup. These jazz guitars can hang with the best of them - acoustically satisfying with a well balanced sound that is dark, warm, and defined - it shines when plugged in and cover a lot of ground. The top is constructed out of a bookmatched carved spruce, the sides and back from very fine solid flamed maple. It has a 16" lower bout, with a 3.25" depth - it has power and easily competes with guitars priced high above this. This example is dated to 2005 with the old "Uptown" logo, and comes to us in excellent shape - showing only typical light cosmetic wear (see photos). Free of cracks or any structural issue - it is setup beautifully and plays like a breeze - the action measuring a low 4-5/64" in height at the twelfth fret. The 25" scale neck is straight, the frets and fingerboard in very good condition with only minimal play wear present (very slight indentation in the frets present - but nothing hindering the playability and no need to level etc). Includes original hardshell case.
