Superbly ornate, we're proud to present this highly ornate custom banjo from the workbench of Douglas Unger. Of high-grade flamed maple construction, the 25.5" scale neck features spectacular engraved pearlwork in an extended flower pot motif, with female profiles on peghead face, more engraved pearl on the volute/heel cap, with a noble winged cherub head deeply carved into the heel. With bracket-band removed from the original 11-13/16" Style M pot, marquetry was intricately added to the interior side wall, as well as engraved pearl blocks on cap. Equipped with original Cam Style No Knot. There is some fading to engraving, with slight tarnish to rim, some surface scratching present, and repaired patch on skin head.
