Solidly built Boucher style minstrel banjo from Grafton Ohio luthier Don Gardner, who is known for his reproduction 19th century banjos and dulcimers that are sometimes used for period reenactments. Built within the last few decades, the 12" diameter wooden rim has a brass rolled tonering, and is of walnut, with a highly flamed maple exterior veneer; equipped with reproduction Union Forever shield brackets, with square nuts and bent hooks, and reproduction wooden tailpiece; setup with a Fyberskyn head. The flamed maple neck has a 25" scale, with metal flush frets, two ogee cutouts, with Boucher style peghead/carved emblem; setup with friction pegs. Some roughness and wear present, but overall a solid yet affordable modern tribute. Includes chipboard hard case.
