Gorgeous Wildwood Minstrel model ordered with custom appointments in 2006 for sale from the original owner, with original hard shell case and original bill of sale; Wildwood started in 1973 and produced lovely high quality banjos before closing its doors in 2018. The 11" diameter pot utilizes maple block construction, and is equipped with a Tubaphone tonering, notched tension hoop, single coordinator rod, with two piece burled maple rim cap, and was custom ordered with a Fairbanks style bracket band (w/ cool integrated heel shim). The three piece 26-1/4" scale neck is of fancy fiddleback curly maple, another custom order, and has an ebony fingerboard with pearl position markers, 1-1/4" wide bone nut, ebony peghead overlay, with maker and star inlaid in pearl; outfitted with Gotoh geared tuners and includes the original hard case. In fine original condition, but for some finish bubbling and scratching throughout, some tarnish on metal parts, and very light fret wear. Plays with ease/low action, with a 5/8" all maple Bart Reiter bridge.
