Stamped with an A prefix, presumably this model 45 was built in 1936, during a then boom of slide guitar. With simple yet elegant appointments, this Spruce topped square neck offers up a robust hearty tone. Healthy bass and nice volume, this square neck is looking for a good home.
A bound spruce top with a 14 1/8" lower bout, it seats the familiar Patent stamped spider cone. The resonator nickel is in good shape with some very mild surface wear that ultimately could be cleaned. The cone is in good condition providing good volume and warmth. The palm rest is in good shape and plays nicely. Double vents are in good shape.
A 25" scale length, the bound neck joins the body at the twelfth fret. Finish wear is present throughout, with checking and some flaked off bits, but nothing too troubling. Slot headstock example, this is a nice player as well as a collectable instrument from the 1930's.
Includes poly foam case.
