An excellent sounding fretless built by Bob Thornburg in 2003. This is one of Bob's "grain measure" banjos; it features ~14.5" diameter oak rim assembly w/ single lap, tackhead construction; added kerfing to top edge forming a tonering; neck is made from mahogany and has roughly a 27.5" scale length. Equipped with friction tuners, rosewood tailpiece. Setup with gut strings, with a extreme bass/punchy tonality
