All original Bacon FF Professional model banjo mandolin in original hard case; a wonderful mandolin, but a worthy candidate for conversion to five string. The flamed maple rim assembly is of lightly stained flamed maple, boasts the enclosed resonator design, with a flared mental tonering inside; two f holes present on back, hardware is original incld. Waverly tailpiece; light cosmetic wear present, as well as stress fracture beneath heel on exterior of rim outer layer. The five piece maple neck has center laminations, with a 13-3/4" scale extended rosewood fingerboard, 1-3/16" wide nut; thin original frets present, with medium wear present; long pearwood peghead overlay shows chew marks near tuners, with Bacon script logo in thin pearl; finish wear present on back of neck. Plays well with medium/low action, light forward relief, ski-slope on extension.
