Early William Cole Eclipse with No. 2500 appointments, a rarely seen model, with low digit serial number in fantastic original condition. The 10-1/2" diameter black painted rim features the original Eclipse tonering, finely made original hardware including neck adjustment, with matching serial numbers and maker's stamp; equipped with 1886 patent grained ivoroid tailpiece. Solid mahogany neck with boat heel shape, v profile, 27" scale ebony fingerboard with delicately engraved pearl inlay; a simple engraved star adorns the peghead overlay; original beaded/carved grained ivoroid friction pegs; in fine original condition, light forward relief, and only light surface cosmetic wear present. Includes chipboard case
