A Vox amp, with an American accent? The Vox TB35C2 the latest in a long series of collaborations between Korg-era Vox and boutique amp builder, Tony Bruno. Bruno, a boutique builder who is known for his knowledge of Fender tweed and blackface amps, designed an amp unlike any other Vox amp.
Featuring a quartet of 12AX7's, a 12AT7, and a quartet of 6V6's, this amp has a tubeset one might find in a Fender. The result is one of the most uniquely voiced amps Vox has ever released. With 35 watts of power, this amp has more clean headroom than most Vox amps in it's power range, such as the AC30. The combination of the 6V6's and Celestion G12 speakers has nice bass response than one would normally find on a Vox amp.
The control panel features volume, treble, middle, bass, reverb, master volume knobs, along with switches for bass boost, "macho" mid boost, and a master volume knob bypass. A tube driven long-decay Belton reverb tank is housed in the bottom of the cabinet. Art deco font, a silver "Bruno" badge, single colored diamond grille cloth, and a different tolex give this amp a unique look to match it's unique sound.
Cosmetically and functionally, this amp comes to us in very good used condition with just some light wear on the Tolex from use. No footswitch, and no cover are included.
