The Pisgah Appalachian is all you need if you are looking for a quality, step-up banjo! It is a simple, classic, no-frills banjo, similar in features to the Pisgah Possum, but with a rolled brass tone ring instead of persimmon to give a little more punch to the tone. This banjo is perfect for anyone looking for a solid heirloom banjo that can be played for centuries and doesn't break the bank. This example comes to us from the original owner, who cared for, but didn't clock much playing time on this banjo. Of cherry construction throughout, the pot also features a walnut rim cap, with 23-1/2" scale scooped fingerboard and armrest of persimmon wood. The peghead overlay features a lovely quilted star, with aged brass hardware. A few hard to discern scratches are present, but a clean, very gently used example (current 2025 new price: $1995)
