Players have always loved the Music Man instruments, from John Petrucci to Steve Morse to St. Vincent, their instruments offer up incredible quality with player-forward-thinking at the helm. It only makes sense that Music Man, having been originally derived in the Fender workshops, would produce a Strat-a-like guitar - that would certainly turn a few players over to their modern approaches.
Built with a black finished alder body, three ply white guard and simple volume, tone and 5 way control layout - the cutlass nails Strat tones as one would expect. Comfortable elbow cut and belly contours, the heel is also contoured for upper register access. This 2017 model features a satin maple neck & fingerboard, outfitted with stainless steel frets. A unique neck profile that has impressed many, it has a vintage feel that lives somewhere between a soft V and Fender C. The standard 25.5" scale is comfortable, and complimented well with its compensated nut. Locking Schaller tuners and Fender derived spring setup make tuning no problem. Interestingly, this guitar is also setup with Music Mans "Silent Circuit" an active system that lessens the 60hz hum of the single coil pickups.
While being used, this guitar is in great shape with hardly any signs of use from the original owner. The neck is straight, the frets are clean and this guitar is ready for the next stage.
Includes original hardshell case.
