The fully acoustic form of the X-150, these Hoboken Guilds are quite the value. All solid construction, these are well regarded amongst players as well as collectors - this example coming to us in great condition. As mentioned, these guitars are constructed with a solid, carved arched spruce top, maple back and sides all fully bound. Internally it is braced with two long tone bars - this example retaining a strong arch, crack free, with mild nicks and dings present. The binding is in good condition, with only slight shrinkage at the base end joint. It retains its original tailpiece and bridge. The bridge has room on both thumb screws for future adjustment in either direction. The neck is designed with a standard 24.75" scale length with a 1 11/16" nut width, and a fairly slim C profile. The three piece neck is constructed out of Mahogany with a Maple center strip. The neck shows only mild forward relief, notable at the fingerboard extension - but plays very well with low action that measures 5/64" in height of the sixth string at the twelfth fret - and 4/64" on the first. The frets sing true, with some wear present in the cowboy chord zone - currently strung with light gauge flat wounds - it is nice and punchy in every register. The original Grover tuners function as they should. The peg head overlay well adhered on this example, with only slight shrinkage present. Includes original hardshell case.
