Original example of a TB-250 from the mid 1950s with original four-hole archtop tonering, one piece flange. The multi-ply maple rim assembly measures 9/16" deep, has a single coordinator rod, with nickel plated metal parts including notched tension hoop; later Oettinger style tailpiece; fully bound mahogany resonator with two concentric rings inlaid on back (some binding shrinkage, dings, crazing, scuffs present); FON stamped within rim, no chalk marks on resonator. The 22.75" scale mahogany neck has a rosewood fingerboard w/ Bow-Tie pearl inlay pattern, Mastertone block behind last fret, light pitting on original frets, with well-repaired peghead crack near volute, missing truss rod cover; later geared tuners; finish checking/chips present on wooden parts, notable scuff on back of neck and chunk of binding behind sixth fret on driver side. A nice playing, throaty sounding post-war Gibson with original green lined hard case.
