Available from 1963 until 1967, Gibson's FJ-N or Jumbo Folk Singer Guitar, sought to appeal to Folk Boom audiences, with their square shouldered, twelve fret jumbo, also featuring a full two inch "folk" nut width; only around 600 examples of this lightly braced model were ever produced, as the public's disinterest in this well-built folk model certainly rivaled Gibson's interest in building heavier braced acoustics.

The multi-bound square shouldered dreadnaught features a naturally finished two piece spruce top, with dark red stained mahogany back and sides, and two long white vinyl pickguards (in-case that nine pound hammer gets a little heavy); original reverse belly rosewood bridge with large maple bridge plate in-side, and factory uncompensated saddle (for nylon strings).

Sharing appointments with the Southern Jumbo little brother, the 24-3/4" scale Peruvian mahogany neck is bound, meets the body at the 12th fret, featuring twin parallelogram pearl inlays on the Brazilian rosewood fretbpard, with a pearl crown beneath the Gibson logo on the peghead overlay; full, 2" wide nut width, equipped with individual Kluson Deluxe tuners. In fantastic original condition, the guitar has lots of typical cosmetic finish wear (long webs of finish checking), with several finish dings notably on the top/heel/around bridge, surface play wear on top, and some wear on sides of peghead; light fretwear on treble strings.

Includes later Epiphone hard case.
