Just serviced! We are pleased to have another splashy Fender Reverb! The tone of a Fender Reverb is a beautiful history lesson from the heyday of surf rock. Reissued twice in 1978 and 1998, the demand for these units has not waned over the years and they have earned their place in the sound of surf rock. Beautiful, shimmering, cathedral-like echoes emanate from this simple amplifier. Input, output, and a three knob control set give you a full spectrum of tonal control. Its rich tone is a sound of its own and gives the included reverb circuits in Fender combo amps a run for their money.
This 6G15 dates to 1964 and features a very late-era brown tolex and wheat grille cloth, just before the transition to black tolex. Cosmetically this unit is in decent shape, with some paint splatter on the tolex and some dust throughout. Some rust on the metal chassis only adds to its charm.
Internally this unit is freshly serviced by our in-house amplifier technician. Fresh filter & cathode bypass capacitors, an earthed 3-prong power cord, and a new foam block for the reverb pan have all been added. A wonderful original tubeset is present, and sounds fantastic. The original parts are included in the sale for the collector.
Quiet, low noise operation is guaranteed for decades to come, whether it be on the stage or in the studio. The 6G15 is always an excellent addition to any setup.
Original egg footswitch included.
