A big sound acoustically, El Capitan has a 17" lower bout, the body constructed out of bound laminate spruce with Maple back & sides. The big rosewood bridge hosts a nice piezo pickup that is controllable at its shoulder, the upper registers easily accessible with its cutaway. This blonde beast has low end and definition - and more importantly is setup great with easy action and a nice straight neck. The full 34" scale might be a bit for any U Bass player, but the loud acoustical properties will be more charming than lugging the amp around and finding power out by the campfire. Although used, this instrument is in great shape cosmetically and is ready for the reboot of Mtv Unplugged.
