Rarely seen William Cole Eclipse with 4000 Style appointments and ornate inlay. The 10-7/8" rim is bound on the exterior and complete with "cobra" hooks, and Eclpse tonering; black painted exterior; original hardware apart from tailpiece. The neck features gorgeous engraved pearl inlay throughout, boasting a butterfly at the fifth fret, and a boat heel but no carving (probably a custom order); common surface wear on the peghead overlay; the frets appear to be recent. The banjo plays well with only light. The tuners are metal friction pegs with mother of pearl buttons.
