A gorgeous modern African Kora that we are proud to offer for sale; the kora is a string instrument used extensively in West Africa; a kora is played by plucking with the fingers, and combines features of the lute and a harp. This example features a mahogany neck that extends through the gourd body and has 21 strings. The body was made using a large gourd and has skin head attached via tacks.
