Based in San Diego, Robert Vincent studied under the famous Kenny Hill. A background in fine finish work, Vincents guitars are produced with excellent attention to detail. This example dating to 2016 features industry benchmarks on what makes a fine instrument while ensuring "no two instruments are ever the same".
This 2016 concert guitar is built with a nice blonde European spruce top with East Indian rosewood back & sides. It is fully bound with multi ply binding showing off Honduran rosewood and maple accent. French polished top with Behlen finished back - the guitar is quite resonant and has a nice voice with a bit more mid range character than some would expect with a rosewood guitar. Powerful bottom end, and three dimensionality - its an impressive and articulate classical. The guitar has opened up nicely, being ten years old with a nice resonance - all while being very well taken care of, completely free of cracks, with only light surface level scratches present. Internally, it has a fairly standard fan bracing, with a unique "anchor bar" which adds lattice-like stiffness to isolated areas - improving the sustain in the trebles while retaining the dynamic range and voice of the guitar as a whole. The body has a lower bout measuring 14.25" in width, the upper bout 11" - the depth measuring 4" at the base and 3.75" near the heel.
This neck is designed with a standard 650mm scale and 52mm nut width, the neck made of Spanish mahogany with an ebony fingerboard. Alessi tuners function beautifully.
Includes original hardshell case.
