Mowry A Style Mandola (2014)

Mowry Stringed Instruments from Bend Oregon are simply superb. High grade attention to detail with boutique respect to the craftsmanship of the past, these fine instruments are stunning with a fantastic sound. This Mandola has very nice sonic detail, providing warmth and definition in each register. Elegant looks, it has a deep burst finish that accents some of the best looking maple we've seen on its back and sides. Simple appointments, this is a great instrument for any working musician looking for a high grade mandola to add to the herd. Outfitted with a passive pickup.

This example is in very good condition, having been well cared for by the previous owner. It has a bit of binding shrinkage near the mounted pickup - with a bit of finish that has lifted (see photo). Light scratches are present mainly on the sides, but nothing a typical. Light case burn is present near the mounted pickup.

The neck is very comfortable, and straight with its two way truss rod system. Bound ebony fingerboard, the frets are in like new condition with no wear to speak of. The action measures an industry standard 5/64" in height of the 4th string course and 4/64" on the first course - again with some movement available at the bridge thumbwheels. 1 3/16" nut width and a standard 16" scale length.

Includes Ameritage hardshell case.
