The best look I could muster after surgery!
Although I’m not a religious person I do recognize the comfort that prayer brings to us whether it’s a mantra or just a well written affirmation. My friend David Vasile sent me this. He said he used it when he was battling a serious health issue. He repeated it every day and gave him solace. And that’s what we are all seeking.
As my grandmother always said, ask them where their people were from. So I asked Dr. Capicotto he told me Calabria. Well, I said I figured that…they have hardheads and they like spicy food. I do have to say, all kidding aside, that he was the finest doctor and a great human being who has really helped to restore my health….and he has a very nice head of hair and really great shoes.
Most of all I miss my Julie. She has been so much help and inspiration taking care of everything else including the business and other family members.

Good Morning Folks,
Thank you all for your continued support during this difficult time. The operation on my spine was successful but much more complicated than anticipated. In some way, the fall that injured my back was a blessing. There was a very large cyst on my spine compressing the spinal column. If I hadn't fallen, this might have gone unnoticed. It was most likely the main source of my continuous decline in mobility. When the surgeon removed it, the spinal column was expanded. They also fused four discs T8 through T11. This involves putting rods and screws and tightening them so eventually those discs will fuse together. We are hoping for a full recuperation but it’s going to take about six months. It looks like 2 to 3 weeks in a rehabilitation facility, and then many months of work at home. I appreciate all the kind words and greetings that people sent me on Facebook and other places. It really lifted my spirits. The people working here in the hospital have been absolute angels. However, they are so shortstaffed that they really can’t do the job that they should. That said I’m out of here today! On to rehabilitation!

Missing my Johnny Boy! I recently had my wedding and engagement rings resized. I guess I had tiny little fingers back in the day. I am wearing the rings again to reaffirm my love and commitment to my partner in all things. Get well soon, my love. I miss you.
