David Santo was a master guitar builder who was making guitars throughout the late 20th Century Into the 2000's. His work doesn't come up often since he only made about 10 guitars per year. Although he made so few guitars, he taught master builder Thomas Humphrey, and went on to complete Humphrey's remaining guitars when he died.
This guitar is a monster. Weighing in at 10.5 pounds of solid koa body, this guitar is not for the faint of tone. Constructed from a Mighty Mite body and a Schecter maple neck, armed with two humbucking pickups and Floyd Rose, this guitar abounds with tonal capabilities and begs to dive bomb. The neck pickup is an older Seymour Duncan "The Mag" humbucking pickup and the bridge is an unknown humbucker marked "DC." The guitar has a locking nut, Schertler tuners, a three way switch, and two switches to coil tap. The guitar is in overall great condition with some normal playing wear. The fine tuning screw for the 6th string has been replaced on the Floyd Rose. "David A. Santo, guitarmaker" is stamped on the back of the headstock.
Comes with an era correct tweed hard shell case. 1 5/8" nut width.
