This is a beautifully appointed fretless banjo perhaps from the Buckbee factory. It features a mahogany neck with a lovely wooden marquetry floral vine throughout the fingerboard. The rim measures 11" in diameter and is extremely unusual construction. It is nickel silver over wood but has a closed metal back with round sound hole. The back and sides of the rim appear to be one piece. This banjo plays and sounds excellently, and has upgraded Gotoh geared tuners with black buttons. It is set up with Nylgut strings.
