Originally founded in 1927, the National Guitar company would go on to produce the worlds finest resonator instruments. One of which, was the highly regarded Duolion, which coincidentally would be the lesser priced option for the company. It would be produced from 1930 on until the onset of the war, and would be found in the hands of many blues players - a long list that needs no real explanation. These round neck thinner body steels would have an attractive green duco finish that many now have seen quite weathered. Here we have a very cool 1993 reproduction from the National company - paying nice attention to what give these the power robust tone they've become well known for. Constructed with the traditional steel body, with a 12 fret to the body neck, it is most regarded as a slide and fingerstyle blues guitar. This instrument comes to us in great condition with minimal wear overall. The green finish looks great with light pick wear present (see photos), a straight neck with some minimal, comfortable wear to the edge of the fingerboard. The frets show some expected wear for its age, with some more wear likely from slide playing at its edge. The neck is chunky and comfortable, and certainly ready for its next gig. Comes with the original hardshell case.
