George & Leo, two of the most important names in the electric guitar went on to form G&L in 1979. Having basically invented the instrument, the two were destined for absolute greatness, and G&L's are always looked at fondly by players and collectors alike. Here we have a nice American made Legacy model dating to 1992 - a perfect Strat for the player looking for something unique. This guitar has a nice bite and jangle compliments of its original Seymour Duncan produced SSL single coil pickups with flat pole pieces. Bell-tones to tangy, surf to wooly, this guitar can basically cover any ground. It plays excellent with low action and beautiful response. Cosmetically its in great shape with some very light wear for a 30+ year old guitar. The Burst finish looks great with the visible ash grain. With only a few nicks and bruises but overall is in very good condition. Original pots present with correct date codes. It is designed with familiar Fender-y 25.5" scale length, and a comfortable maple neck (stamped May 7th 1992). The neck has a 1 5/8" nut width , 50's style Maple fingerboard, and a speedy flatter 12" radius. The neck is straight, and features a comfortable slim profile that measures .80" thick at the first position and about .88" at the twelfth. The frets are even, likely having had a level crown and polish in recent times. The action is nice and low measuring 5/64" evenly at the twelfth fret. Includes the original hardshell case.
