A limited production run from Gibson, the ES-137 drew from some of the finest elements of their best instruments. With a face on appearance of an ES-175, and a thinner 335 style body - these electric arch top's are a great option for a player looking for some classic aestheticism of a jazz box that is ready for a louder rock gig. Semi hollow construction, it has a solid center block for feedback rejection.
This one dates appropriately to 2007, the mid way point in their production, and comes to us in very good used condition. It shows some play wear, but only aesthetically, with some surface wear, and only mild fret wear. It plays well, with a nice straight neck and low action that measures about 5/64" in height at the twelfth fret. The neck is a speedy mild C profile that has a thickness of .8" thick at the first position, tapering up to about 1" at the twelfth fret. It has a 1 11/16 nut width.
