This is a fine playing, professional series, Tubaphone No. 9 with all the fancily engraved mother of pearl in the peghead and throughout the fingerboard. The broadly flamed, 28" scale, maple neck sports a carved heel and inlaid heel cap. The rim is the 11-1/2 inch diameter Tubaphone style with fine marquetry on the bottom edge. The tailpiece has been replaced with a Kerschner style, and the tuners are replaced with modern geared tuners. This is a great playing banjo for multiple styles and except for the replacement parts it remains in very original condition.
