Although my brain sort of hurts to look at it, I find myself very intrigued and impressed with the sound of this extended range budget classical. For over the last decade, Agile has managed to build surprisingly high quality instruments at a super budget price point - which is a great idea for instruments that might be something someone simply wants to "explore" but not necessarily commit to a huge price tag on.

The Agile Renaissance 8 string is built out of a solid spruce top (with some nice bear claw), and a standard mahogany back & sides. Lightweight fanned bracing internally. A nice herringbone trim and a gloss finished for durability, this guitar is robust and has some nice tone to boot - albeit a bit quieter than your standard concert classical. An onboard Gentro ZE-4T preamp pickup, complete with three band EQ, Volume, Presence, and an onboard tuner. The 27" scale is a little bit of a hurdle, but not any more than the extra wide 2.75" nut.

This was used sparingly by its original owner, who was happy to see it go to the hands of another adventurous player. It was well kept, and plays well. Only simple light surface wear present, the guitar has super low action and a bit of buzz on the bass strings if played too hard, something that could be remedied by a saddle in the event that it becomes problematic for the next owner.

Includes a hardshell case.
