Made for the William Stahl Company by the famous Larson Brothers, this mandola (originally called a Tenor Mandola in the catalog) features a marquetry trimmed bound yellowed spruce top, with mahogany back and sides, inlaid pickguard; long repaired back crack held together with an internal lengthwise brace. The 16" scale bound mahogany neck has an ebony fretboard with pearl inlay present; rosewood peghead overlay; some light fret wear in lower positions, and light forward relief; 1-1/16" nut width. Tailpiece appears original. Some light overspray present. Lovely rich sound. Included in sale is heavy duty custom built wood hard case
