Just arrived...in the shop for setup. William Schmick Camden NJ Lyric label, by Vega, this is a very interesting higher grade five string banjo with original top tension design and closed back, maple construction with rosewood binding; nice flamed maple; repaired cracks on the back. The maple neck has an ebony fingerboard w/ 26.5" scale; original thin wire frets with mild wear; light forward relief, but plays well; pearwood peghead overlay with fancy pearl inlay; outfitted with later Hipshot geared tuners.
