Wildwood Troubador

These finely crafted banjos were made handmade in Arcata, California by Mark Platen beginning in 1973. Wildwood instruments always had their own following. The banjo is crafted in a completely different way than many of the East Coast open back banjo. The rim is block construction (similar to Stelling) it 9s all figured maple with a Whyte Ladie tonering. The three piece maple neck has a 26-1/4 inch scale with an abalone "tree of life" vine in the fingerboard This is the fine instrument or any style of playing.
