This is an all mahogany, 17 fret tenor banjo from the Weymann Company in Philadelphia, PA. It has a deep, 10 1/2 inch megaphonic style rim with simple tonering. The neck has a bound, ebony fingerboard with a 20 inch scale and fancy pearl peghead inlay. Equipped with upgraded Peghead tuners, tailpiece, armrest (repaired cracks); original resonator present, but does have a repaired gouge on exterior and lots of cosmetic wear. This is a perfect instrument for Celtic music.
